Meet Dr. Boaz

Dr. David Boaz has recently joined Studio G Dentistry after 21 years of private solo practice in Chapel Hill and is eager for the opportunity to continue dental practice with his staff and patient family with a respected colleague, Dr. Ghaffarpour. Drawn to North Carolina by a teaching opportunity at the UNC School of Dentistry in 1980 after completing graduate degrees in psychology and education, Dr. Boaz has for his entire career focused on “contributing to the humanization of health care relationships” in his patient care, teaching or research pursuits. Health promotion and disease prevention is his research interest and consulting expertise, and more recently, refining therapies to reduce destructive oral habits such as tooth clenching and grinding.

Dr. Boaz graduated from Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago and is a Life Member of the American Dental Association. He has two grown daughters and is a musician, active in community service events around the Triangle.
